Well I never thought I'd begin one of these but for some reason I kept having recurring moments where I thought to myself how I would "blog" specific events in my life. So here I am! I also enjoy reading certain other blogs so hopefully other people will find something they enjoy or something to brighten their day every once in a while here. :) I guess I'll begin with this past weekend, which was awesome! Friday, Brian and I went to the McMillan's lake house with some friends. We had such a ball just getting away for a night and enjoying some quality time with great people. On Saturday, we were on the boat most of the time and then had to head back to Birmingham around 3 to attend a......wedding, shocker! This wedding in particular was really fun. Stephen Vlahos and Meredith Dowdy, whom I went to high school with both. The reception was at Old Car Heaven in downtown Birmingham, so it was refreshing to go somewhere different. It was very nice to see old friends again and of course the ones that I see all of the time. In high school, our guy friends called my friends "The Flock" because even though we talk to each other all of the time, we tend to stay in a "flock" and not talk to anyone else when we are at functions together. I guess some things never change. We have a special bond and that is why we are all still so close. Not to mention, there is rarely a dull moment and we always have so much fun together. I love them so much.
Brian and I were talking today after church about how much we are enjoying this time in our lives. We are having so much fun post college. My brother in law, Drew, told me once that his life has gotten better with every season. I hope mine continues to do the same.
